After becoming AMPS certified early in my career, I saw firsthand the impact this assessment had on occupational therapy practice. When opportunities to obtain AMPS certification became limited, many clinicians—including colleagues I worked alongside—could no longer access this important evidence-based assessment.
CITS was founded to preserve and expand access to AMPS through a modern, clinician-focused platform while maintaining the scientific rigor and integrity that have made it one of occupational therapy's most respected standardized assessments.

I'm Spencer VanDenburg, an occupational therapist and the founder of the Center for Innovative Therapy Solutions (CITS).
My mission is to preserve and expand access to the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) for occupational therapists around the world.
For nearly a decade, I have practiced as a pediatric occupational therapist while advancing evidence-based occupational therapy through education, technology, and professional collaboration.
As President of CITS, I remain committed to ensuring future generations of clinicians have access to high-quality assessment tools and training.
