The goal of this course is to provide occupational therapists with the information necessary to administer, score, interpret, and document the results of an AMPS observation in a valid and reliable manner.
What Makes the AMPS Unique?
- Used to evaluate the quality of a client's performance during participation in an ADL;
- A top-down process: starts with a client interview to determine which tasks the client wants and needs to do;
- An observational assessment: the occupational therapist will observe the client performing tasks, to determine which ADL Motor and ADL Process Skills were effective and ineffective.
